Connect an AI assistant
You can run PhoneScreen from ChatGPT, Claude and other AI assistants that support MCP: create roles, score resumes, invite or call candidates, review results and run reference checks. The server address is https://app.phonescreen.ai/mcp.
- ChatGPT: turn on developer mode (Settings → Security and login), then on the Plugins page choose + and paste the server address. Whether developer mode is available depends on your plan and workspace settings.
- Claude: Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector, paste the server address, then connect and sign in.
- Other assistants: add a remote MCP server with the address above. Most open the PhoneScreen sign-in page for you.
Connecting opens a PhoneScreen page where you sign in, pick the organization, and choose what the assistant may do: see roles, create and edit roles, see candidates and results, update candidates, and contact people for you. The assistant can never do more than your own account can.
Disconnect an assistant
In PhoneScreen, open Settings → Developers. Under Connected assistants, choose Disconnect. The assistant loses access right away. Admins can disconnect any assistant in the organization, and removing someone from the team disconnects theirs.
Common questions
The assistant says screening is paused
The assistant tells you why. Most often the account needs a payment method: add it under Settings → Billing, then ask the assistant again.
A candidate wasn't called
Calls and texts go to US and Canada numbers only. Check the number on the candidate, and look at the candidate's page for what happened on the call.
Reference checks or call campaigns don't show up
These features are turned on per account. Email us to turn them on.
Deleting candidate information
Email us with the candidate's name and role and we'll handle the request, subject to the hiring organization's obligations. See the privacy policy.
