Employment verification that finishes itself.

An AI agent that verifies a candidate's work history end to end. It fills out the employer's web form, texts, calls, and takes the callback, and it keeps going until the verification is done. So it happens for every candidate, not just the ones somebody had time for.

  • Works the browser, the text thread and the phone line
  • Writes back to the candidate record automatically
  • Syncs with any ATS you already use

Verification is the one step in hiring that is still somebody's afternoon.

A portal for this employer. A PDF for that one. A phone tree for the third. It is nobody's job and everybody's delay, so it gets paid away per check, or it quietly stops happening on the candidates you are sure about.

How it will work

An agent that uses whatever channel the employer does

Every employer verifies differently. The agent adapts to theirs instead of asking you to.

01

It fills out the forms

Most employers route verification through a web portal or a PDF nobody wants to open. The agent works the browser: it finds the right form, completes it, and follows up on what it submitted.

02

It texts

Where a person is the fastest path, it texts them, asks only what it needs, and answers the questions that come back. The same conversation engine that runs our reference checks today.

03

It calls, and it answers

HR lines, payroll desks, voicemail and callbacks. It places the call, works through the phone tree, and picks up when they call back.

04

It keeps going until it is done

A verification is not finished because we tried. The agent retries, escalates to another channel, and tells you what is still open and why.

What comes back

The facts, with the source that confirmed them

Employer

That the company exists, and that the candidate worked there.

Dates

Start and end, to the month, with the source that confirmed them.

Title

The role they held, and changes to it where the employer will share them.

It lands on the candidate's record in PhoneScreen, next to their phone screen and their references, and syncs to your ATS. One place to look, whichever system you hire in.

Questions

Employment verification, answered

What is employment verification? +

Employment verification confirms the work history on a candidate's application: that they worked at a company, for the dates they claim, in the role they claim. It is normally done by contacting the employer's HR or payroll team, or the verification service they use.

How is that different from a reference check? +

A reference check asks someone who worked with the candidate what they were like: judgment, strengths, whether they would hire them again. Employment verification asks an employer to confirm facts. One is an opinion you weigh, the other is a fact you check. Most teams want both, and they are usually two separate chases.

Why does employment verification take so long today? +

Because it is a chase across channels nobody owns. A portal for one employer, a fax-era PDF for another, a phone tree for the third, and a person who has to remember to follow up on all of them. So it gets outsourced at a cost per check, or it quietly does not happen.

How will the agent verify employment? +

By working whichever channel that employer actually uses: filling out their web form, texting the right person, calling their HR or payroll line, and taking the callback. It moves between channels on its own and keeps going until the verification is complete or genuinely blocked.

Will it work with my ATS? +

Yes. Verifications land on the candidate record in PhoneScreen alongside their phone screen and references, and sync out to your ATS the same way the rest of our data does. If you would rather pull it, there is an API.

Is this a background check? +

No. This confirms employment history. It does not cover criminal records, credit, or driving history. Verification carries real obligations around candidate consent and disputes, and we are designing for those from the start rather than bolting them on. We will have specifics before launch.

When will it be available? +

It is in development. Joining the waitlist is how we decide how fast to build it and who to build it with, so tell us how you handle verifications today. Early design partners get it first.
